Below is some information to answer frequently asked questions. If you have others questions or would like more information, we invite you to contact our church office at 817-613-0332.

Where are you located?

Brock United Methodist Church is located at 127 Lazy Bend Road, Brock, TX 76087. We are ten minutes west of Weatherford on I-20 and then two minutes south from the Brock Exit (Hwy. 1189).  The church is only five minutes north of SugarTree Golf Course on the Brazos on 1189.  Once in Brock, turn on Grindstone Road and then make a quick left on Lazy Bend Rd. Come find us across the street from the blue-roofed Brock ISD elementary/middle school building.

What are your worship services like?

In worship, we seek to experience the presence of God through our engagement with scripture, music, prayer and sacraments. We offer two worship services on Sunday mornings. We have different styles of worship services to enable more people to connect to Jesus and the Holy Spirit in different ways.

In our 9:00 am contemporary worship service you will experience contemporary music from our praise band, prayer, a special message for children, and a scripture based message from our pastor. You are encouraged to sing, clap and praise God in any way the Holy Spirit moves you.  Dress for our contemporary worship tends to be more casual and comfortable.

In our 11:00 am traditional worship service you will experience traditional music from our hymnal accompanied by our pianist, regular recitation of our beliefs, prayer, a special message for children and a scripture based message from our pastor.  Dress for our traditional worship service ranges from casual to business casual.

What should I wear?

We want you to feel comfortable. Many people come to worship in “business casual” clothes, but many others dress in jeans and t-shirts. It is good to worship God together—we want you to be more focused on the worship service than what you’re wearing. We think you’ll fit in, no matter how you dress.

Where do I take my kids?

Children are welcome in our worship services.  If you have children under the age of five, you may choose to take them to the Sunday morning nursery.

How do I learn more and get connected?

The Pastor and other members of the congregation will be prepared are ready to answer your questions and help guide you through this process.

Persons who join Brock United Methodist Church make sacred commitments to God and to the church community.  Through these vows we accept God’s free gift of freedom and power to turn away from sin and the forces behind it; to profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior; to believe in the Christian faith as contained in the Bible; to live a Christian life; and to; “faithfully participate in the ministries of the church by our prayers our presence, our gifts, our service and our witness that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ” (from The United Methodist Hymnal, copyright 1989 by The United Methodist Publishing House).
